Apple Stuff...

Haven't dusted this icon off for a while...

Well, the Apple Tablet rumblings peaked today with an Apple Media Event scheduled for 01-26-10.

I guessing: Tablet Announcement, Tablet to then be ready by WWDC then during WWDC an Verizon iPhone Announcement, Verizon iPhone to be ready by November, just in time for my contract with ATT to run it's course.

Suffice to say, I'm glad I haven't bought the Kindle, Nook or Sony eReader...

Wednesdays...

The hunt for a bachelor's program begins.

Since NEIT hasn't pulled a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design out of their butt yet (I foresee once they move to the new Campus in East Greenwich it'll just magically appear) it's time to look elsewhere and while I only have SCAD's catalogue I've sent out for SMFA's and RISD's.

So far, on the money front SCAD beats RISD hands down. And, while I like the idea of doing an online course, RISD is 20mins away. Both offer courses in Photography that I'm leaning towards and maybe dip towards Graphic Design.

Thankfully, none of the quarters of either school hits SDCC so my thank god it's over present so so far untouched.

Swung by school last night to get paperwork for my grades sent out so paperwork for re-enbursement from work can be filled out.

Draft Zero News:

Sucessfully created a temporary map of the world of Draft Zero in Illustrator last night. That's the good news.

Now, I just need to plan it all out now.

Next thing on the list of things to buy is a new lappy. Maybe the rumblings of a tablet annoucement in January will bear fruit...

Cybrosis

Recently I've been involved in a bunch of in-progress projects that I can't talk about until they go live. (I've decided that all the work I've done in 2009 that I can't talk about is going to make me look amazingly productive in 2010.) The cover I did for Cybrosis is an example of just such a project and I'm happy to say that it is now live! Cybrosis is a podcast novel by P.C. Haring and I'm pleased to say that the cover photo is mine!

I took the photograph for the cover working with Rae Winters, who is the amazing model gracing the cover. Jared Axelrod did the graphic design that makes it look so sci-fitastic. P.C. is releasing episodes now along with some of the voice best talent out there. I am so happy that he asked me to help create the cover for his novel. Thanks, P.C.!
